"People's Choice" Award Show

During October 2011 ACA is having a member show at The Point's Art Gallery on the campus of C.C. Young, 4847 W. Lawther Dr, Dallas, TX 75214 (ACA's new monthly meeting location).

Entry Fee:  $5.00 per painting.  Artist may submit up to three (3) entries.  See Prospectus below for details.

Delivery Date:  Monday, October 3rd, 1–3pm

Reception:  Friday, October 7th, 6–7pm
Open to The Public. Complimentary refreshments will be served.  See Meet–the–Artist Reception flyer.

Pickup:  Tuesday, November 1st, 5–9pm

The Art Gallery is open daily to the public from 6am – 8pm.  Free parking and admission.


Prospectus


ELIGIBLE ARTIST:

All active members of ACA (No Associates) whose annual dues have been paid.  Dues may be included with your entry form.  Separate checks please.


WORKS ELIGIBLE:

All work submitted must be original work of the Artist.  Artist may submit up to three (3) entries.


WORKS NOT ELIGIBLE:

Copies or partial copies of published photographs, paintings, or work done in classes or workshops.


MEDIUMS:

Submitted works may be acrylic, graphics, mixed media, oil, pastel or watercolor.


SPECIFICATIONS:
  • All two–dimensional work must be suitably framed and ready to hang.  Screw eyes and wires must be firmly attached.  No saw-toothed hangers will be accepted.
  • Plexiglas must be on all watercolors and graphics.
  • Glass framing is allowed on pastels.
  • Maximum framed size is 42".

LIABILITY:

ACA and C.C. Young will take all reasonable precautions to protect all works entered, however, the artist but assume all risks for damage or loss.


SALES:

Entries may be priced to sell and will be sold at the price indicated on the entry form.  No change of price is permitted.  A 25% commission will be paid to ACA for any sold works; therefore, the price on your entry form should include the commission and sales tax.  Sold works may be picked up Tuesday, Nov 1, 5–9 pm.


DELIVERY:

Entries will be received at "The Point" Monday Oct. 3rd, 1–3 pm.


PICKUP:

Sold and unsold entries may be picked up at "The Point" Tuesday November 1st, 5–9 pm.
