Instructions for Artists

To have a Gallery Page you must be current on membership dues.   Current members wishing to submit web content for the Gallery should provide the following:

  • Digital Images of 3 paintings (maximum).
  • A email or text (*.txt) file giving the title, original size (identify which is the width), and medium for each painting.   Be sure to identify the jpeg file name which corresponds with each painting.
  • Provide your Artist Statement, website address &/or email address.  The Artist Statement can be a brief paragraph or two about you, your painting &/or philosophy.  ACA maintains the right to restrict the length and content.
    If you include a web site link, a reciprocal link to ACA's home page http://acadallas.org should be included on that web site.
  • After cropping size, adjusting contrast, adjusting color, etc. for your original image; saving an image for the web using the following format:
  • BASELINE Standard JPEG (*.jpg), maximum quality compression.   Do not save as a Progressive JPEG.
  • Color mode: RGB (preferably sRGB)
  • Resolution: 72 pixels/inch (ppi)
  • Save the image where the largest picture dimension (width or height) is 600 pixels.   Webmaster will adjust image size for best fit on Gallery Page.

How to make use of your Gallery Page

To share your Member Gallery page as your personal web site.  Use the address as shown when viewing the page.  e.g.) can be typed as:

www.acadallas.org/gallery/XXXXXXXXXX
where the X's are your name exactly as the web page address displays.
