Because she had always been interested in art, it was natural for Lucille to seriously study art when the youngest of her ten children started school. She chose oil as her first medium.   She learned color theory, technique, and composition from such outstanding teachers as Ramon Froman, Bill Earle, Ted Goerschner, Charles Movali, Ken Gore, Rudy Calao, Bill Schultz, Leo Smith, and Rob Erdle.

After painting in oils for over 20 years, Lucille chose pastel on sandpaper to give new excitement to her art, and for the past fourteen years watercolor has added freshness to her works.   She enjoys painting landscapes, seascapes, and still life.

Her works currently are being shown in public and private collections throughout the United States. She is an active member of Associated Creative Artists and Southwestern Watercolor Society.
